FAQ
  • How long has USA Productions been in business?
We are entering our 18th successful year of positive pageantry. We have produced many events such as fashion shows, talent auditions, pageants, charity events, and more! We started our family owned business and company in 1995 and our names and logos are trademarked. Our mission is to seek out REAL girls with big goals. Girls should be well groomed, have a polished look, and be very personable. We seek a girl who is or wants to be a leader in ALL she does and we support ALL queens in everything they do. Many of our girls go on to successful entertainment careers, modeling careers or the major Teen and Miss pageants. Our Mission is to promote a positive forum for any girl who has the desire to be a royalty queen on any level.

  • How can I benefit from entering this program?
Each girl has her own goals as she enters this program. So ask yourself "What goals would I be striving for?" Some answers are: "To become a better speaker, to get over stage fright, to learn modeling skills, to overcome shyness, to get involved with community service, to earn money for college, or even to practice so that I can enter Miss Teen USA, Miss USA, Or Miss America someday". These are all great answers! What's YOURS? Gaining poise along with building self confidence and enhancing self-esteem is the number one way to benefit that each girl can carry with her in ALL phases of life. From giving a speech in school, to auditioning for modeling jobs, to interviewing for college or your first job.... THE Dream girls of today ARE tomorrow's leaders as in our mission statement!

  • So are you a beauty or "face" pageant?
Neither Actually. True, most pageants are called "beauty pageants" but the differences are vast. Our program promotes a well rounded individual who wants to be or is a leader in her community already. All girls are beautiful in their own way, but we do seek a REAL girl with PERSONALITY. She is outgoing, friendly, and has compassion for others. She learns to be a better public speaker, is introduced to community service, enjoys being a role model, and can work on performing arts/talent abilities while under the guidance of our Directors and National Staff. Our queens are beautiful on the inside which equally makes them beautiful on the outside!

  • What experience do I need or what is required to enter?
No experience is necessary to enter our programs. Most girls who enter have never done a pageant before. We provide complete information AND mentoring throughout the year leading up to the State and/or National finals to prepare you which also builds your confidence and you will find that you can be a role model to others! So if you have the desire to be in a nationally known program that offers a positive forum for self enhancement and to showcase your abilities and talents while being rewarded in a variety of ways, we want to hear from you today!

  • Can you explain the competition events in detail?
ALL competition events are exciting and you have the opportunity to excel in! Each girl will participate in 2 required elements which are: Spokesmodel (A brief introduction about yourself) and Formalwear modeling (Model your fancy party or prom dress) *NOTE*Baby/Tiny do not participate in a speaking element. Those 2 element scores are added together to determine the Age Division Overall title winner. For Baby/Tiny the formalwear scores are the main scores for division titles. We will then offer different "optional" events and your scores will determine the Overall Hi-Point winners. We offer fun optionals at your choice to enter. They are: A) Photogenic Print Model (Submit a head and shoulder type photo or bodyshot of yourself), B) Fashion Runway Model (Any trendy, dressy off the rack outfit that you would wear to a party or special occasion.) C) Casual wear Model (Wear a more simple every day outfit, can be all or part denim and should be off the rack.) All ON Stage modeling is done in a T pattern. TALENT: We do offer a talent competition, and it is optional to participate. Talent is not required to enter and/or to vie for your Division title or the Overall Queen titles!

  • What if don't have a State/Country Director for my area?
If you are a REAL girl with big goals and you live in a State or Country that currently does not have a State Director, you then qualify to be a State Appointed Queen. You also receive the STATE/COUNTRY QUEEN'S KIT and the Registration fee currently is $500.00. Half payment deposit can secure YOUR Title name and as soon as the balance is paid your official STATE Queen's Kit will be mailed to you! An official sponsor letter and information packet is available upon registering. A State/Country appointed titlehholder understands they must advance to the National event as they have the Division entry fee paid.

  • What are my biggest responsibilities as a Queen?
First and foremost, a Dream Girls USA, Real Girls U.S.A., or Y.A.M.I. queen must conduct herself as a role model at all times, ESPECIALLY in crown and banner, but in all things she does to enhance herself. It is your choice of making as many or as little appearances at your own Hometown, State or Country. We seek a special girl who is respectful of others and who wants to share her positive spirit with those around her! You can promote yourself, your title, and the pageant program through fun appearances, community service or recommending your friends to the program. Second, All Hometown Queens must advance to the State Finals. All State or Country appointed Queens must advance to the National Finals. And of course, newly crowned State winners for each year must also advance to the National Finals representing their titles as their National Division Overall entry fee IS PAID by the State Director. Wow, now that is an incredible value! For ANY title you seek with USA Productions, there are entry fees of which you are responsible for. We share information about how to obtain sponsors to assist you. Ultimately, keeping deadlines, paying your entry fees on time, and advancing to the proper next level is a commitment made by a Queen and her family.

  • I've never gotten sponsors before, how do I do this?
Obtaining sponsors to support you is surprisingly easy to do! State Directors and the National office provides you with an array of information and ideas to seek sponsorship for your entry fees. This includes sponsor letters with your name on it that you first give to family and friends who know you. These are your best supporters of course! You will also have information on how to obtain a business sponsor. Make a list with your family of area businesses that you support and you will find they are only too happy to support your endeavors. A minimum $100 business donation may also tax deductible as a business and advertising expense. All personal and business sponsors names are featured in the program book and are announced while you are on stage. Remember, once fees are paid, there are no chargebacks to a credit or debit card, paypal, or NO check should have a "stop payment". There are no refunds due at pageants once payments are made. Be sure to explain this to any sponsor also. However, one of the best ways to get entry fees PAID is by recommending friends to the program. More than likely, that is how YOU found out about us! Please adhere to deadlines and pay any fees due on time out of respect for the title you hold and for your State and National Director.

  • Can my family and I just pay our entry fees or have just one sponsor?
Definitely. This is your choice. A lot of the girls will find that 1 or 2 members of the family, like grandparents will generously support you. Obtaining sponsorship can be fun and a great way to introduce your newly gained title to the people you already know in your community. It also helps build your public speaking skills and confidence to meet new people and seek sponsorship. The important thing is to be involved and to meet the deadlines given so that sponsor fees are paid in a timely fashion. If you are nearing a deadline and are waiting for a specific sponsorship, simply contact your State Director to give a friendly update on the status of your sponsors!

  • Can you tell me more about the Modeling workshops?
We are so proud to have FUN and always FREE preparation classes in the USA to assist each girl with total pageant preparation. Our workshops go over all the phases of competition some of which are: modeling stance, posing, turns and pivots, runway walk, personality projection, Spokesmodel/Public Speaking development, wardrobing, introduction to community service projects, how to choose and enhance a talent performance and so much more. It's a great time to get together as a pageant family and absorb valuable information amongst the Queens and their families. All questions are answered. Girls feel comfortable and prepared to take on, well, just about anything! We also assist girls in their quests to a part of the competitive modeling and entertainment industry and have many success stories! No other pageant in the country offers this kind of value in Pageantry that really supports all girls to set goals, big or small, and strive to achieve them. Pageants by U.S.A. Productions are a real "program" and offers as much as a girl wants to be involved in. State/Country appointed Queens will also receive important training info or they may travel to a sister State for a workshop, where available. Group conference calls are held often!

  • What if I live OUTSIDE the USA? How do I enter and participate?
We have had many Countries/Provinces participate at our pageants and there have been winners. Costa Rica, South Africa, Bulgaria, Jamaica, Russia, and Canada, are just a few. We welcome the opportunity for countries to qualify as a "Country Delegate Queen" which follows the same rules as USA Queens. Melissa Victors, the National Director has been a certified Talent Scout for many years and has worked with girls and boys up to adults of all ages in the performing arts arena. Group conference calls for preparation is offered.

  • If I do NOT win a title at the State pageant, can I still enter Nationals?

YOU WILL ALSO RECEIVE A $300.00 SCHOLARSHIP to enter Nationals to assist you. • What is an Alumni Queen?
An Alumni Queen is a FORMER STATE Queen,FORMER NATIONAL queen or FORMER State/Country Appointed Queen who has attended our Nationals and re-enters for the next Nationals within the deadline period and at a reduced entry fee. • Is there a Contract I must sign if I am a Queen?
You do not have a multi-page "contract" like some pageants. By registering, paying the entrance fee, and being "accepted", this is a basic contract where You DO agree to follow our simple guidelines, adhere to deadlines and always be a good role model and a good sport. By qualifying and entering, you are to represent your title and pay or get sponsors for your fees and keep your State and/or National attendance commitment. We offer complete information packets on sponsor fees which are very competitive compared to other pageants. You make choices to do appearances and and be involved. Unlike other pageants, you have the choice to be an upbeat titleholder and make appearances or community service efforts when YOU are able. We realize you have other activities in your life. Keep any commitment you make on behalf of any title you have please. An important stipulation IS that IF you want to enter another pageant and THAT pageant says you can't hold any other titles, then you should wait until your year with our program is finished before entering the "other pageant". If you do hold one of our titles and choose to enter a different pageant that will NOT let you reign with another pageant, then you are responsible to forfeit your title and any prizes with our program. You are to represent a Hometown queen title at the State pageant, and if you win the State title, your National division overall entry fees ARE paid by YOUR State Director and you must advance. IF you do not advance, you forfeit all State prizes and MUST reimburse the State Director the National entry fee that is PAID for State Crowned Winners! IF you are a State or Country appointed Queen you must attend the Nationals to represent your State title after you qualify and are accepted. This is the commitment you make when you are duly qualified and there are great incentives, but your full entry fee must be paid and deadline kept. We do have the right to rescind ANY title for any bad sportsmanship or negative behavior or actions on the part of any titleholder or anyone in their party. There is NO soliciting of any pageant or pageant related service at our events.

  • Do I receive My score sheets from a State or National event?
Score sheets are handed out, e-mailed, or mailed at the conclusion of the State event. We ask you to look at your scores AWAY from the ballroom and do not openly discuss the scores. We ask that no one is to detract from the excitement of the newly crowned winners. We ask you not to call the Director about your scores or question your scores. Your scores ARE what were judged on for each event you entered. The decision of the Judges is deemed final and by your participation, you agree to be judged. The scores are to help you learn more about how you performed compared to others and NO Director can answer as to why a Judge scored any contestant in a particular way. We plan to have computerized scoring for Nationals and we reserve the right to keep all scores confidential or they may be mailed or e-mailed to the contestant/family. Please accept the scores as final from the panel of judges. ALL new judges at each event, we do NOT repeat judges twice in a row.

  • What do you look for in a Y.A.M.I. Queen?
USA Productions promotes the "REAL GIRLS" of today that are working towards high leadership capabilities and being the most positive role models in their communities. Learning about or enhancing community service or "platform" is important with this title, especially for those who wish to move on to Miss Teen USA, Miss USA, or Miss America pageants. Being "true royalty" is the key to success for this title!

  • What is a "platform"?
For any major Teen pageant or the televised pageants for Miss Teen USA, Miss USA, or Miss America, contestants must have a "platform" which means choosing a specific charity or community concern that you concentrate on with your volunteer efforts. So be "Proud to be an American" and help out in your community today, not just for pageant reasons, for humanitarian and goodwill reasons. It's fun and it makes you feel good about yourself when you DO help others!

Winners must be always present to be awarded any titles or prizes at any level. There are never any chargebacks to a credit card or on Paypal once your payment is received as you are making payment for "services" and not "goods". Once you do register, you are fully made aware that there are entry fees for which you can get sponsors for or hold fundraisers to secure your funds. Please honor your titles, keep your commitments, pay entry fees by any deadlines and respect all Directors!

  • Good Sportsmanship Rules
We have a ZERO tolerance policy for any action we would deem negative. Everyone in your party, including the participant or "The Queen" is to be a good sport and keep a good attitude at all times. We do not support gossip or negative actions by anyone at our events. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any event or to rescind any title for poor sportsmanship or negative behavior or actions on the part of any participant or titleholder or anyone in their party. An outright expulsion from participation or a one time only "warning" may given to any queen or person affiliated with the Queen for ANY negative actions deemed disrespectful or dishonorable to our pageants, and your title may be forfeited with ALL prizes and awards to be immediately submitted back to the State or National pageant Office. As we proceed into our 17th year of positive pageantry and literally hundreds of events, only a few times has this ever occurred. ALWAYS be positive and upbeat and respectful of everyone around you at any function, appearance, pageant, etc.
